Founded in 2010, Homes Fur Hounds has a simple mission and simple goals: provide care and find homes for surrendered pets and found animals, as well as offer education and support services to the public regarding the treatment of animals.

All our pets undergo veterinary screenings and treatment prior to being made available for adoption. For animals in need of serious care, we treat all that is reasonable and possible as long as the animal is not suffering. Because veterinary care is never ending, there are adoption fees, with some animals costing more than others. Donations are accepted and greatly appreciated.

A Note to Adopters
Homes Fur Hounds is a non-profit registered 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.   We are a group of volunteers who have dedicated our lives to rescuing and saving homeless, unwanted, abandoned, neglected, and abused small dogs. We save most of our animals from kill shelters around the state, but also accept owner surrenders and stray surrenders.

We do not have a shelter facility and operate solely out of foster homes. This ensures that all of our dogs learn the skills they need to be successful family members when they move to their forever homes.

We spay/neuter, vaccinate, medically examine, microchip, and evaluate and/or socialize all dogs that come into our rescue before placing up for adoption to pre-screened homes.

Our goal is simple: to find great, lifelong, loving homes for as many small dogs as possible.
